Rest and Relaxation

We booked a few days in Albufeira, or more specifically Olhos De Agua, for a little R & R after moving around so much. One of us has a kid strapped to us most of the time so a few days at a resort was just what we needed. We had wifi but our phones stayed in our room for the most part. Olhos de Agua is about 40 minutes or so from Lagos and our driver, Monica, was from the area so she gave us a few places to eat (which we completely forgot the names of). We checked in, had a quick nap and headed to the beach. It was a long way down, about 60 meter drop, from our hotel so we went to the beach side restaurant and enjoyed the view with some Portuguese food.

We enjoyed some pool time in the shade with the kids and had some Chicken Piri Piri for dinner.  All in all, not too much of an eventful day but very relaxing and very much enjoyed. We agreed the next day would be more of the same with less walking places and more laying around being lazy as possible.

Slept like babies…

Woke up for the breakfast buffet (awesome). Got some massages and had a steam (much needed). Hung around the pool (fantastic), took a very short stroll to get some things for the kids (could have done without this part but the kids gotta eat) and had dinner at the hotel buffet (very good). Very relaxed day with no pictures to show for it. These European Airbnbs are not exactly splurging on their bed selection so two good nights of sleep was just what we needed for the next few weeks of our trip.

Next stop is Seville which we have been told can get up over 40 degrees. We plan on doing Cordoba and Granada after which are both similarly hot. After Seville nothing is booked so we might make our 50th change to this trip and skip Cordoba and either head to Almeria then to Granada or Granada then head back early to Barcelona to head up the Costa Brava. Unfortunate but probably better than staying inside for 6 hours a day waiting for the sun to chill.
