Day 2

We land, planned to take the metro but we were exhausted and so were the kids. Jumped in a taxi and tried, in our best broken Spanish, to get to our place – got dropped off 5 blocks away :(. Ale, our host,  was here to greet us at our airbnb and showed us a few tips for the area we are staying in (Gothic District). The cleaning lady just got here so we needed to spend an hour outside of the apartment. We walked over to the Mercat de Santa Caterina for some cheese, chorizo and some fresh juice. This was the highlight of our short day since the nap we intended to be 2 hours ended up being closer to 4. We toured the gothic district for a few more hours after our nap, enjoyed some of Barcelona’s Cava and food that we love.
